Monday nights conjunction of the Moon, Venus and Jupiter was a wonderful sight in the evening sky. I’m sure Sunday nights view would have been nice as well but I was clouded over here. Even on Monday Mother nature was messing with me throwing clouds overhead during a good part of the show. Yet they added a bit of drama to the picture:

While I took other photos I felt that this was one of those events that is better seen than photographed. At once your eyes are able to appreciate the wide vista and the finer detail of the scene. When the sky completely cleared over Clearfield observatory the sight of the moon and planets in the dark sky was a visual treat.
