NGC 6888: Crescent nebula in Cygnus


NGC 6888, the Crescent nebula, is an expanding shell of gas being driven by a Wolf Rayet star.

Click image for larger version (1260x1087, 770kb). This was the second time I have used this target prior to Okie-Tex Star Party. Compared to last years photograph this image is deeper, with better seeing and better post processing.
