NGC 2244 : Rosette Nebula in Monoceros


Truely outstanding nebula in the winter sky. This large nebula carries several NGC designations including NGC 2244 (the central star cluster) as well as NGC 2237 - 2239 and NGC 2246. More information about the Rosette nebula can be found on the SEDs website.
