M17 : Swan Nebula in Sagittarius

M17 is the nebulous patch to left of center in this photograph. Know as the Swan or Omega nebula it is located a short distance from M16.

Exposure	Stack of 30, 5 minute exposures at ISO 800
Notes	Excellent transparancy on 6.29, very good the 30th. Calibrated with bias, dark and flat frames. Initial RAW conversion, registration and stacking in IRIS. Noise reduction in PixInsight LE 1.02 Additional adjustments in Photoshop CS2
